Software Capabilities
Northlake has been writing SCADA, PLC, and Touchscreen software for over 20 years. We are extremely proficient in ICONICS, CIMPLICITY, WONDERWARE, INDUSOFT, and FACTORY TALK SCADA systems. Automation Direct, GE/EMERSON, Allen Bradley, Schneider, Omron, MODICON PLC’S and CMORE, and REDLION touchscreens.
Retrofits
Northlake is unique in that we will retrofit equipment and controls systems that most manufacturers will not even look at. Mostly because they are good at few standardized things but will not invest the time into 1-off without trying to charge the customer the same, or even more, than just buying a new piece of equipment.

Northlake has performed hundreds of retrofits over the last 20 years. Our integrators understand how systems processes are supposed to work within the semiconductor world. Over the years Northlake has perfected methods of performing these retrofits, so they are justifiable in cost. We typically save the customer 50-70% by updating a CDM with a new control system versus the customer buying an entirely new system, ripping out and disposing of the old system, facility cost to install and then qualify. Let’s face it! Valves, fittings, and pumps have not changed that much over the last 20 years, but the controls have. Northlake can teach you how to re-use what you currently have in place, meet new industry standards, in cleanliness, flow and data collection, and save you money over buying new. Why does Northlake build new equipment? Processes are changing and sometimes FABS need to add new equipment to meet those requirements. Northlake builds new equipment so that the controls across the new and used equipment are on the same platform, allowing new systems to easily integrate to the overall system, you only need to deal with one system integrator, and it decreases your level of stocking for spare parts.
Wafer Inspection
Northlake can integrate wafer inspection as well.
